Instructions For Use
1. Unscrew the lancing device cover from the housing. Insert a sterile lancet into the lancet holder and push it in as far as it will go.
2. Hold the lancet tightly and turn the safety tab until it comes off. Then pull it off the lancet. Carefully screw the lid back onto the lancing device. Avoid contact with the exposed needle during this process.
3. Set the puncture depth by turning the cover. There are a total of five puncture depth settings (1 = lowest setting, 5 = highest setting). To avoid causing unnecessary pain to the animal, use the lowest possible setting that still produces a sufficient drop of blood.
4. Pull back the clamping cylinder to prepare the lancing device. A click may be heard when this is done. The device is now charged and ready for use.
5. Clean the respective skin area in advance with an alcohol swab or by washing with warm soapy water and dry the test area thoroughly.
6. Hold the lancing device against the paw or ear and press the trigger button. You should hear a click when the lancing device is activated. Avoid smearing the blood drop.
7. Then unscrew the lancing device cover, replace the safety tab on the lancet needle and remove the used lancet. Now put the lancing device cover back on.
