NucleoProtect® VET Blood Tubes
The NucleoProtect® VET blood tubes from Macherey-Nagel are used for molecular diagnostic tests in veterinary medicine. The NucleoProtect® reagent stabilises viral nucleic acids (DNA and RNA), while infectious viruses are inactivated immediately after collection. This procedure enables the most accurate analyses and reliable results. In addition, the samples can be transferred directly to pre-analytical nucleic acid extraction procedures, so that laboratory procedures are sihnificantly simplified.

The tubes pre-filled with 4 ml NucleoProtect® reagent can be filled with 1.6 ml venous whole blood. The innovative design of the blood tubes allows direct blood collection using the aspiration technique. For secure sample tracking, the blood tubes are already provided with double barcode labels. The peelable section is used to identify the test order.
