mat4pet Animal Heating Pad
The heating pad for animals "mat4pet" is used in veterinary medicine to maintain the temperature of sick and anaesthetised animals. Especially in patients with a body weight of less than ten kilos or an operation duration of more than two hours, there is a risk of hypothermia. Hypothermia is also favoured by a particularly large operating field: this is the case, for example, with thoracic or abdominal surgery.

In small dogs, puppies, cats or rabbits, the body temperature can then quickly drop below 34 °C, which can result in haemodynamically relevant changes in blood viscosity or even a prolongation of the wake-up time. For this reason, the use of the thin, flat and washable heating pad for animals "mat4pet" is recommended during and also after surgery for dogs, cats and other pets in order to keep them warm.

The pad is operated with 30 watts at 12V. In case of damage to the heating pad or cable, there is no danger either for the animal or for humans due to the protective extra-low voltage. The heat pad maintains a constant heat of approx. 38 °C over the entire area, provided it is not covered, and can therefore be used safely. If anaesthetised or immobilised animals are placed on the electric blanket, the associated thermostat should be purchased to avoid overheating.
